Topic explanation
It is a warning sign that indicates in advance (usually at 150 metres) a traffic light with vertical light arrangement: speed must be reduced to be able to stop if necessary.
The yellow disc may be replaced by a flashing yellow light.
If it has a yellow background, it is placed before a roadworks site.
It is mandatory on extra-urban roads before a traffic light.
It is not true that it may have a steady yellow light in the centre or that the red disc may be replaced by a flashing red light.
