A driver intending to stop on the right edge of the carriageway must avoid creating a danger to drivers of approaching vehicles (two or four-wheeled), signalling the intention to perform such a manoeuvre sufficiently in advance by activating the direction indicator (even if traffic is light) and avoiding sudden braking.
It is not true that they must flash repeatedly by activating the hazard warning lights.
The loss of license points is provided only for failure to comply with the prescribed regulations regarding parking prohibitions.
